This is a software converter that creates Flash SWF out of MS Word documents.
WordFlashPoint - Word to Flash converts, automatically, Microsoft Word XP/2002, 2003, 2007 & 2010 documents into a compressed Adobe Flash format (SWF). The document in Flash format makes it easy to share them on a webpage or distribute it through CD. WordFlashPoint can also create Adobe Flash based Flip books quite easily. Besides DOC and DOCX, the tool will handle RTF formats too. The program can work as a standalone application or as a plug-in to MS Word. In all such format conversions, particularly where documents are involved, layout of the source document with its images and paragraphs and other elements must not get disturbed. This is something to check for during the trial period. You should use the documents you usually use, and make sure the conversion does not introduce any problems, however minor.
The interface is easy to use. After the program is launched, you get an area where you collect a list of documents to be converted. The lower half of the interface is tabbed. Besides the “about” page which has the usual meaning; two other tabs are marked “general” and “settings”. On the general tab you are able to choose the output style; choices being the flipbook and the standard flash document. You choose the output path too. The settings page help you prevent modifying/editing of the documents. Other related settings are also grouped together under this tab. These include choice of background, compatibility with Flash player version, frame rate, JPEG quality level, whether a pre-loader is to be prefixed and some cover page options. This can prove to be very useful when publishing large Word documents on a site or for distribution.
