You can define the number of frames you want in the output sequence. The re-sampling required can be based on saw-tooth which creates strong contrast, some details may be lost; sharpen function sharpens the edges and is somewhat in between in effect of saw-tooth and smooth. Smoothen effect smoothens the picture that creates a slightly blurred effect.
