MagicScore Classic 5 + SharpEye 2.68 is a complete solution for work with sheet music. SharpEye is a music scanning software while the MagicScore Classic professional is a music notation software.
Pros: MagicScore Classic provides all general tools for working with scores implementing common musical grammar. It offers nice capabilities for entering and editing of musical information. It allows importing and export of scores in MusicXML, MIDI ND karaoke formats. MagicScore`s specialized tools, such as the Virtual Piano, Notes Performance Editor and the Navigator, let you easily and efficiently record and work with either single pieces or large musical compositions. Some of the features offered include automatic spell-check of all information entered, extensive editing capabilities (copy, paste, delete, transpose either single notes or entire selected blocks), enter notes using the Virtual Piano, score entry using the Chord Builder, bind comments, links, and other appearance elements to all score elements, adjust the volume, balance, and effects for each track, read from and write to MIDI files, playback note entry by single instrument or by entire orchestra, and print or Preview scores. It includes drag & drop ease and facilities for recording directly from MIDI devices.
What SharpEye provides to the package is the ability to directly scan in music notations and integrate into any composition you may be building. MIDI files also can be created out of these scanned notations. Scan music with our highly acclaimed music scanning program SharpEye. You can use SharpEye to scan and convert printed sheet music into a music notation file or a MIDI file which can then be imported into a music notation program or MIDI sequencer. This process is like the text OCR and file formats supported are MIDI, NIFF and MusicXML files which can be opened by various music notation and sequencing programs. These include MagicScore, Finale, Sibelius and Cubase.
