The scanned symbols will be held in a music notation file.One can also create a MIDI file. The music file can be imported into a notation editor and the MIDI file can be imported into a MIDI sequencer. This process is called music OCR by analogy with the more common text OCR. SharpEye 2 outputs MIDI, NIFF and MusicXML files which can be opened by various music notation and sequencing programs including MagicScore, Finale, Sibelius and Cubase.

The Maestro program lets you tune up the notes` sounds and their timing features. You can also process the effects and the dynamics. In this program, you may use both general and extended sets of musical symbols. You would be able to create your own symbols, terms and chords. These may be needed when creating complex compositions with non-standard grammatical solution.
