E.M. PowerPoint Video Converter is an all-in-one PowerPoint to video converter. It can convert PowerPoint presentations to almost all popular video formats such as AVI, MPEG, MPEG2 TS, MP4, WMV, 3GP, GIF, FLV, SWF, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, H.264/PSP AVC.

Pros: EM PowerPoint video converter generates video out of PowerPoint slides to several of the popular formats currently in use. These include AVI, MPEG, MPEG2 TS, MP4, WMV, 3GP, GIF, FLV, SWF, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, H.264/PSP AVC Video, MOV, YouTube FLV etc.

The support of this large array of formats helps sharing of the presentations with friends/team members/ colleagues via the capability to play on iPod, PSP, Zune, 3GP mobile phone (Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Motorola), Apple TV, iPhone etc. With the built in burning capability the presentations converted to video can directly be recorded on VCD, SVCD or DVD as well as audio CD. It is possible to convert the slides to individual image files in JPG, BMP, TAG, TIFF and PNG formats. One could extract the audio and convert the audio to some other format. The formats supported are MP2, MP3, AC3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, M4A, OGG, AAC, AU, MMF etc.

The program is geared towards batch processing. Specifying a list of input file and output files, format specification are the only things required before the process can start with a single click. One could specify interactive operation when the conversion is done slide by slide, being advanced manually.

Cons: With so many different formats being handled and other combinations due to format processing of audio also there is a large combinatorial situation, each of which needs to be tested for various combinations of inputs to be sure there are no problems. This is not practically possible, unless the publishers have done that already. User feedback would be a very useful tool to determine if everything is fine.

Overall the application is quite good with a reasonable interface. The application is a 3 star performer.
