This application has six major functional modules. Convert video & DVDs helps convert between formats, Edit video module lets storyboarding and adding of transitions, filters and special effects etc, Capture video helps capture video from Mini DV cams and web cams. Split video functionality allows splitting up, shortening of video clips while Video messaging lets short video messages to be created. Create CD/DVD is a CD/DVD authoring module with media burning facility.

Pros: Movavi VideoSuite gives you six(as above) Windows and Vista compatible tools for video editing, processing and capturing in a single package. Conversion between formats, supported by the following devices, are easy to do in the video suite. Devices include iPod, iPhone, Apple TV from Apple; PSP from Sony, Zune from Microsoft, Epson players, Cell phones and PDAs.

Packaging of the six modules, as described in the “About” section, helps getting all the needed operations on video done using just one application. Some of these main features are capture of videos from DV and web cameras, format conversion as needed by the device on which the video is going to play. That includes devices like the iPod, Zune, PSP or a PDA.

Editorial changes like storyboarding, transitions, effects, splitting and splicing of video pieces and adding filters help produce professional quality video productions. Old home movies can spruced up with professional filters. Creation of DVD menus is another piece in the production process that is helpful. Creating a video postcard or a simple video mail is easy too with this application. And then to round up the facilities a CD/DVD burning facility that can burn audio/video CD, DVD, VCD, SVCD and so on.

Cons: MP3 audio CD burning facility is a burning need these days. Similarly Blu-ray support is a clear need, now that the format war for the HD videos are finally over.
