this could very well be the slowest video conversion software i have ever had the displeasure to use. After taking 45mins to convert the first 8min of an .avi to .wmv I stopped and deleted this sluggish program.

This is some real crap. It installed then it wont even ley me convert a wmv.

Freeware version only converts AVI, DivX, wmv, and DV types. Anything else, buy the pro version. If this is all you need though, it seems to work well.

This worked a treat (but the link didn`t - I went to Stoik`s website). Found I had to type the file extension on the converted file for it to be recognised. Very easy to use.
