This software is able to add time stamp when editing a video clip with Sony Vegas Pro software.
SVDTS is a small application extension that allows date time stamping to done by using Sony Vegas Pro video editing software. It implements dockable window for timestamp usage. That makes it quite convenient to timestamp your home videos. The utility also supports exporting time-stamp data as subtitles for DVD Architect Pro. You are not going to need any other program to burn the date on your clips. The recorded date & time information is incorporated easily. You will need to set up a template first by using the Vegas pro editor. This is simply done by selecting the first track and doing insert -> Text Media. Then the default pattern is defined in the date and time format that is suitable for your work flow. You will need to save this template/preset as DateTimeFormat in the editor. The editor would then use the format to insert date and time data. You can edit properties of the format and save it with different names. to be used by the Vegas editor you just have to change the name of the format to DateTimeFormat.
Installation is simple, copying of the dll to the relevant program folder. That makes SVDTS part of the tools menu of the Sony editor. Whether you have one clip or a set of clips in a track, you can use this tool equally easily. When creating the format you have control over several items. Frame size, length etc. can be set. The dockable window has several relevant tabs. These are edit, placement, properties and effects. These then decide completely exactly where the time stamps will be placed and how they look. You have a lot of home videos that needs time-stamping, this here is a simple tool that you can use. You must be using the Sony Vegas editor of course!
