total video2dvd can help me convert avi to dvd with subtitles, very useful.

It installs ok, but when I dragged in a file from the desktop it gives an error.
---------------------------
v2d
---------------------------
File name:
C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Desktop\B.wmv
can not contain the following characters and strings:
==, !=, >=, >, <=, <, &&, ||, !, eq,
ne, ge, gt, le, lt, and, or, xor, not,
+, -, *, /, %, &, |, ^
-----------------
This is an old 16-bit DOS problem with long filenames. The spaces in my path messed it up.
Then I copied the software to C:\ and it imports, but when I click BURN DVD I get...
v2d.exe has encountered an error and needs to close.
PLUS!
This is NOT NOT NOT Freeware, it nags you to buy it every time you open the program.
Thumbs down.
