Wedding Album Maker Gold is a photo album software for professionals. It creates photo slide show with music, transitions and DVD menus to produce amazing wedding photo album DVD playable on TV.

Pros: The application lets you make a DVD slideshow out of your wedding photos. Tools for some polishing up of the photos are provided. Transitions between photos can be defined individually or they are applied automatically (by picking random transitions from the library). Add music from your collection and add menus and you are practically all set for burning a DVD of your wedding album for the posterity. Don’t forget the credits, decide the effects and the content and you are done. Then it just takes inserting the DVD into a player and checking out the final results on your big screen home theater!

The application lets you do a preview of the complete album with transitions, menus and the sound track to ensure everything is fine before you commit it to a burn. Undo/redo takes care of going back and forth to polish your presentation.

The interface helps immensely in putting together the product. Menus and icons are on the top of course. Rest of the area is organized in four quadrants. Top left quadrant shows the directory structure on you active disk making navigation down to the stack of photos easy. Top right shows the thumbnails of the photos chosen, you can scroll through all of them. Main work area is the bottom right.

Wide range of format support is available with the application. MPEG1/2/4, M4P for iPod, PSP, 3g Cellular phones, FLV, XVid, AVI, AVI format for Anrchos, Creative Zen Vision, iRiver PMP 100, YouTube, MySpace etc.

Cons: Not really a shortcoming given the stated purpose. However, it’s so good and easy to use, wish it could be used for making any kind of album. DVD write speed is slow, could be faster.

Very useful package, user friendly and so easy to use I wish this was not just for making wedding album but for making any album that can be viewed on the TV or other video players. I guess that’s a question of adding appropriate themes. Music is generalized anyway. Overall this is a 5 star package.
