Sharetastic is a file sharing program and uses the well known file sharing programs such as Gnutella2, Gnutella, eDonkey, and BitTorrent networks. Managing it, in terms of searching, checking network status etc. are easy. It is able to use features like ghost ratings, a completely user-configurable queue area, and multi network. With the built in preview player, the user is able to preview files as they are being downloaded. The content can be in any of most popular audio and video formats. The program optimizes the download queue automatically. However, if you decide to do so, tweaking can be done manually. Downloading and file managing can get complex and thus is best left to the tool. You are able to provide users with a range of information about the files and hosts carrying those. The status of downloads are tracked by the tool.

The interface is well organized. There are two toolbars, the first one is about Internet connections, views, tools and documentation about help. The other toolbar is about the navigation functions such as "home", "library", "media player", "search" and "transfers". Download status can be tracked easily. Status of every download strand is shown. The biggest feature useful to you is that it is free. Do not expect to initiate fast transfers as soon as you have installed it. It will take some time to be familiar with all the settings and controls, particularly if you are not conversant with peer to peer file sharing. It is a good tool to have around.
