MING Bandwidth Monitor is a bandwidth meter, monitor and traffic controller. This application is able to measure, display the traffic pattern and controls traffic going out of the computer and coming into it or the associated network. The traffic pattern is shown graphically. You can get a real time view of the data being uploaded and downloaded. The display can be configured to show the traffic through the network, in the LAN, etc. It records all network traffic and includes extensive logging (hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly). You would be able to set up alerts for unusual, dangerous or unexpected network activity. The Pro version has more extensive capabilities. You are able to monitor traffic down to process levels in the computer or a network.

The software tool identifies the processes causing TCP/IP network traffic, which is the IP protocol over which this traffic passes and its destination also can be monitored. The real time display and the logging functionality is included as in the free version. Bandwidth monitoring can be set to KB/s or in Kbps display mode. The network connection does not matter; it is able to monitor phone modems, DSL, cable modem, LAN, satellite, etc. Monitoring can be done in terms of data rate numbers too. Tabbed interfaces let you set parameters for display. Another screen tabs let you select the Windows processes to be monitored, the PC or the PCs on the LAN etc. This is a monitor that can be handy to a network administrator.
