AbleFtp is a FTP client designed for automating file upload/download from a FTP server. It is possible to run a large number of transfer tasks a day, many of them automatically. These automated tasks can run immediately or be scheduled at your convenience. The simple and intuitive interface makes it easy to use the tool effectively. You get to see both the local and remote systems and the file structures on them. You can see the files/directory at different levels. Relevant statistics are also shown. When searching a file, the tool supports a flexible wild card naming, making searching as well as multiple file transfers easier. Saved file names can also be automatically generated, if needed, based on date and time or any customized naming you prefer. Email Notification of task failure is based on task exit code. This is one very useful feature.

For easier maintenance, remote FTP and local directory monitor can detect directory change and trigger FTP, zip, copy and delete tasks. Triggering can be based on detecting file size, total files, file modification dates to get other tasks initiated. Both local and remote FTP monitors work the same way. The scheduler lets you schedule, task and automate tasks quite flexibly. Directory copies and file copies can be carried out using wild card specifications. The FTP command task built in, will run the FTP commands in sequence and the sequence may include custom commands. SOCKS5, SOCKS4, SOCKS4A, HTTP Proxy supports are available. This is a very useful FTP tool when you need to maintain local and remote files for backup and other purposes.
