Unfortunately, I downloaded this and started using without reading the comments from others who had. About a week later I noticed advertising links on the bottom of my web pages. It took a while to notice because they are all the way at the bottom and light text on light background, but they are visible. One of them linked to an adware toolbar. As a developer, I understand the need to generate some kind of income from freeware, but the problem here is that they do it without notifying the user. Now I have to go back and fix every single page I uploaded through GoFTP. It`s a good thing I caught this while sites were still in development and not released to the clients. Then I would have a lot of explaining to do... Anyway, there must be a better freeware model this company could employ, because I don`t think anyone would knowingly permit unapproved ad links on their web sites, in exchange of use of something a mundane as an FTP client.
