MAPILab POP3 Connector lets you download mail from external POP3 servers and distributing mail to actual recipients. It works with MS Exchange servers 2007 and 2010 not earlier.

MAPILab POP3 Connector enables companies to solve the actual problem of downloading mail from external POP3 servers and delivering to addressees located on Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010. Microsoft Exchange Servers cannot download mail from external POP3 servers but MAPILab POP3 Connector adds such functionality to it. Using an external server for mail allows you to limit access to Microsoft Exchange Server from the internet. MAPILab POP3 Connector communicates through a secure SSL protocol. You are able to customize delivery of messages using standard or secure connection for each mailbox. Mailboxes can be unlimited in number each of which can have individual settings. The program is able to collect mail from personal mailboxes located on external POP3 server and deliver it to the specified addressee. Mail from catch-all boxes are collected and automatically identified and distributed to recipients on Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010.

How often mail is processed from the external server is easily specified in steps of 1 second. Management of the program is through the MS management console. The POP3 connector is added as existing administrative snap-in. Logs help record all the events during the operation of the program. You would thus know exactly what happened in the program or the Windows server. The program solves an apparent problem with the later versions of the MS Exchange servers. However, you need to carefully consider if you want a MS only set up or there is a need to connect to external servers. If you do, then this is a useful tool.
