A Peer to Peer file sharing application that utilizes the Gnutella framework.

Pros: This is a pretty standard peer to peer file sharing application and comes bundled all the features that one expects from such a tool and a few more. It runs on the Gnutella network and returns search results from peers connected to it. One can then download selected files. In addition it has a number of other features including: auto-connection to the network when the system starts up; managing the downloaded files from within the application; connection quality control and ability to control upload and download speeds, throttling the upload speed, and monitoring uploads and downloads; a host of advanced filtering methods; browsing remote host’s shared directories; and of course the ability to perform a number of searches in parallel. All in all, a complete tool for the file sharing enthusiast who is looking for media, games and other content on the internet.

Cons: The drawback is undoubtedly the interface. And presuming that users will be using this fairly often, it becomes even more of an issue. The color scheme is horrible and it really is a pain to be locating at the screen all the time. All in all, the product is also a spin-off of LimeWire, and it is the color scheme that makes the interface different. Downloading of parts of a file (swarming) should have been included and would have greatly improved the package.

Overall: At least 3 stars. 4 stars possible. It works well, but this is much like other peer to peer applications. The website’s “fastest” claim is not really backed up in practice. Interface is a (horrible) spin off of LimeWire.
