An enhanced version of LimeWire that provides much better download performance.

Pros: Unlike other LimeWire boosting applications, LimeWire Turbo ships as one stand alone application, so there is no need to download and install LimeWire. The application works much better than the native version of LimeWire and comes bundled with a host of attractive features. The main speed enhancing features are unlimited bit rate downloading which works to utilize all available bandwidth at most (if not all) times considerably improving the download speed over LimeWire, swarming downloads which enhances the way that a file is downloaded by downloading different parts of a file from different peers, and finally using more sources on an average (by a combination of frequently probing the network for more sources and also because it supports more simultaneous downloads). The downloading core has been optimized in this Turbo version to provide better performance overall – increases average download speeds, and reduced download times.

Other features include: user configurable queue area, greater number of searches than LimeWire, “ghost” ratings and more. One of the best things is that the interface is exactly the same as LimeWire so users who are used to LimeWire will have no problem making the switch. For advanced users there are a host of configurable options to further enhance the utility of the software in ways that they find useful (specifying ports etc.). All in all, a better a P2P experience than LimeWire.

Cons: Makes no improvements to LimeWire’s interface, but not much else to complain about.

Overall: 5 stars. Excellent overall package. Improves speed significantly on all kinds of connections. Some unique features add to its utility.
