It can be used to download almost any kind of file from other peers, such as audio, video, text, documents, ebooks, executable files, and images. It has a standard interface that allows a user to search for files (more than one simultaneous searches) and then download desired files (which are downloaded in parallel from as many peers as possible. The library management functions ( maintaining downloaded files and files that the user is looking to share), settings, etc. are pretty standard as well.

Overall: The plain fact is that there are better peer to peer file sharing utilities out there. This may not necessarily be true in terms of the download performance, which this version does not do all that much worse than the other solutions that are out there (although in some cases it does really badly, it is not clear what underlying technologies the software is using, it clearly doesn’t seem to be using all the capabilities of the standard Morpheus engine, and that may be its limitation), but is certainly true in terms of the user experience. Whereas other solutions have tended towards better looking and friendlier user interfaces, the Morpheus Games Downloader tends to use an older paradigm (which by the way is fairly typical in any case) of the user interface. It is also unclear why the software is called a “Games Downloader” because there is nothing here to indicate that it is, in fact, better at downloading games.
