An add-on that boosts the performance of the Shareaza P2P file sharing application.

Pros: The Shareaza Turbo Booster is an add-on for the Shareaza Peer to Peer file sharing application that improves download performance. Download speeds are faster overall because the Shareaza Turbo Booster downloads more aggressively. Frequent searches for more sources results on more sources becoming available for download and therefore reduced download times. This also improves the search performance and more sources are displayed in the search results.

There are also other features that come pretty standard with most booster style applications. Paused downloads are automatically restarted. Corrupted files are cleared automatically and so are files that have finished downloading. When the program closes or when the computer is shut down the current download configuration is stored. This configuration is automatically loaded on startup resulting in all incomplete downloads restarting when the computer restarts. The interface is very easy for a beginner with only one button to push to get started. The program consumes very few resources of its own and sits out of the way in the system tray.

Cons: An unattractive interface that has no customization features whatsoever. Perfect for average users, but not for power users. It does not utilize all available bandwidth and this means that it is not as fast that it could be. This also results in only a marginal improvement on a broadband connection.

Overall: 4 stars. Works well for slower connections. Marginal improvement for faster connections. Unattractive interface with no customization possible.
