A VPN client solution that is based on the IPSec standards and works with more than a 100 different VPN gateways.
Features: VPN Software is an IPSec VPN client (with full support for standards - IPSec, X-Auth, & Security Certificates as well as full IKE support) that works with more than a 100 commercially available VPN gateways (those that are also standards based). It is more than likely that the software will work with whatever VPN gateway you are trying to connect through. It has an easy to use interface and a quick installation cycle that ensures that it can be quickly deployed for use. Strong Authentication with support for X-Auth, Secure Certificates, PreShared Key, Hybrid Authentication Method, and most importantly USB Token (see below for more details on USB Token). Support for strong encryption including DES, 3DES, AES, from 128 up through 512 bit encryption. Other features include support for Diffie Hellman Key groups (1, 2, 5, and 14), IP encapsulation for mode tunneling and transport, and also multi-tunneling to a number of Gateways, support for peer-to-peer connections, NAT traversal (IKE), flexible certificate support, Secure Hashing (SHA 1, 2 and MDA5), and IP Address emulation.
USB Token: a USB drive or other USB device (such as a smart card) can be used as a special security device. With the use of a USB token, the VPN client will work only when the USB device is plugged in, and otherwise not. This is a great security tool and provides a high level of security (one that is physical and impossible to spoof) and functions very much like a key. This feature is particularly useful if the users computer is shared by more than one user.
Overall: This is an excellent tool with an interface that most people will find easy to use no matter what their experience level. It is recommended that users check the freedownloadscenter.com websites for more recent updates before downloading the latest version because this software is frequently updated (mainly to account for bug fixes) and therefore there might be a more current update available. Note that you may want to have more than one USB Token, to ensure that a failed USB device does not bring down your VPN access.
