A Wireless and Local Area Network monitoring tool. Primarily a packet analyzer but there are also capabilities for ICQ / AIM / IRC / MSN / Email monitoring.

Features: This is a tool for capturing and analyzing packets on a network, especially a wireless network. The term generally used for this Wireless Sniffing and so this tool is appropriately named. In addition to Wireless Sniffing and Network Monitoring Wireless Snif allows for chat monitoring with support for ICQ, AIM, IRC, MSN chats. An email monitor is also provided as part of the package. An ARP Spoofer has been in-built in to the software that allows for monitoring for beyond a given broadcast domain (this is useful in cases of switched Ethernet networks, where the broadcast is limited only to the connection from the given network card to the Ethernet switch, and the packets on the rest of the network, but in the same domain are not captured; with ARP spoofing, these will be captured). It has a number of command line utilities, familiar to UNIX / Linux users: tcpdump, tcpflow and tcpstat. GUI features analyzers for IP, TCP, UDP, SMTP, and other higher layer protocols. A remote agent is provided for network monitoring from a remote computer.

Overall: A fairly typical wireless packet sniffing solution. Considering the competition that is out there, though, this is not enough of an offering. It seems like the state of the art (circa Ethereal / Wireshark, and AirPCap, CommView) has far progressed than what is offered here. This is good for users who are just beginning to get their hands dirty with packet sniffing, network monitoring and the like, but not enough here to attract advanced users. The interface looks like the older version of some of the afore-mentioned software. There is a concern about privacy given the chat monitoring and email monitoring capabilities.
