This is an add on for the eMule file sharing program that improves its overall performance, especially suited to users on slower connections.

Features: The main feature of eMule EZ Booster is probably its bare bones interface which asks only this from the user that he / she press an “ACCELERATE!” button and then he / she is away. Nothing more is required from the user, the program takes care of the rest. Its main advantage is the ability to maintain near constant speeds for long periods of time, resulting in an average performance that is considerably better (on slower connections) than the basic eMule package. This it does by frequently searching for other users who may have the file that is currently being downloaded (and not on a need-as-basis) thereby generating a list of additional or alternate peers as time progresses. Other aspects of the Booster are its attempts to utilize as much of the available bandwidth as possible.

Some additional features deal with aspects of the user interface, pausing or resuming downloads as needed (based on the current network conditions; a feature that is especially useful on unreliable connections), automatic resumption of all incomplete downloads on a system restart, and also the ability of the Booster to automatically identify and remove damaged or corrupted files.

Overall: This is a fairly good tool which will show improvement on almost all types of connections. However, the improvement on connections that are fairly reliable or fast is not considerable. A better bet on those might be to tinker with settings within eMule as well as on a local router (example: port forwarding) to improve performance even further. That said though the Booster is a significant advantage on slower connections and improve performance both by improving download speed but also by taking care of certain aspects of the user experience. Note that the graphs do not provide too much information. Advanced users would probably like some additional level of control in terms of available settings.
