A diagnostic tool for network delay and packet loss measurements based on the ICMP protocol running on Windows 95/ NT. In contrast with the ping program supplied with Windows, it can ping several hosts at a time. Piing32 measures the roundtrip time it takes for a packet toreach a host on the Internet and return, in the sameway as a normal ping program does. This tool offers the possibility to display the timing results graphically. It also records the Packet-loss rate over the path to the destination. You can determine the time and the frequency with which these measurements will be performed. The program also allows setting thresholds for round-trip time and packet loss, which allows you to be notified when thedelay and/or packet loss exceeds a certain value.
