Works as stated. Making an animated icon is a bit of a challenge. The icon is a .bmp strip 22 (or 38 for large icon) pixels wide, and 22 times "n" pixels tall, with "n" being the number of individual animation cells. Not unlike a .gif animation, but a continuous vertical strip. You need a .bmp editor, and create a "picture" as described. The default animation cannot be used as an example as it is imbedded in IE. This works with (at least) IE6 and Windows 2000. To find an animated icon (or static, for that matter), IE looks in the registry: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar for keys that are placed there by this program. If the keys are not present, then IE uses the default.
