A browser companion that consists of several useful Internet utilities, or 'gear.' Each piece of gear appears as a 'paddle' in a special toolbar that sits next to your browser. As you browse Web sites, esgear detects your location and reacts if related content is available. If any is found, one or moreapplicable gear paddles will rotate, alerting you of the additional information. One of the more unique pieces of gear is etrails. Etrails are collections of related Web pages. When you come to a Web page that is part of an etrail, the paddle will rotate. The list of other sites included in the etrail can then be accessed by clicking the paddle. You can even create your own etrails for others to view.
