LAN Survey is a Client/Server network monitor and inventory tool that tracks computers, printers, software, ODBC, RAS, IP numbers and network logons. LAN Survey also contains a folder contents tracker and a file version monitor. Single point of installation, no additional client setup required. You can examine the database from all computers : there is no need for dedicated managements consoles. Multi-user design. Link your own or third party programs using the included ODBCdriver or the command line interface. Use the included Web access module for Microsoft Internet Information Server to examine the database with Netscape or the Internet Explorer.

Remote scanning of Windows NT, 2000, 2003 and XP computers is possible. Besides current configurations, modifications are recorded in the database too. Run the commandline scanner during a clients logon for automatic updates. Data can be saved as XLS, CSV, HTML and text.
