Pros: iNetCalc is basically an internet connection speed meter and a bandwidth monitor that enables a user to keep tabs and a record of Internet usage including DSL, Wi-Fi, GPRS etc. (so that you how often and how much of each service you utilize). This is done through the recording of every byte transferred and calculating over how much time the connection is alive. The recorded connection information is displayed numerically as well as graphically. There is information on online connection speed, channels loading, average connection speed, and more. These are available for each connection as well as overall global values. All this makes it a powerful tool for those users who are interested in monitoring usage and keeping tabs on costs (on traffic based tariff systems). With the right kind of user accounting an administrator can make it work much further. There is also built-in Callback support to allow the establishing of several simultaneous connections.

In addition the program comes with a built-in Pop-up Blocker and ad-banner to reduce the number of pop-ups and advertisements and improve the user online browsing experience.

Cons: Though very useful it is primarily for administrative-type users. Most users do not need and are not interested in such advanced network speed and monitoring type functions. The interface is not very well designed and is suited to people who are only well-versed in such topics – it is not intuitively apparent how to bring up appropriate graphs, and also the tariff settings requires and implicit knowledge of the way these work (possibly with assistance from the user’s ISP). All in all, it is not for the average internet user.

Overall: 3 stars. Limited use for the general public; for the users it is aimed at it possibly does not have enough advanced functions.
