AggreGate Network Manager is an enterprise level network management and monitoring solution.

Features: Aggregate Network Manager is a tool that can be used for network monitoring, as well as application performance monitoring. This can be done for a number of networked devices on the local area network including Windows Servers and Unix Servers (availability, CPU load, disk space, etc.), routers and switches (availability, traffic, bandwidth utilization, etc.), database servers (including MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL), applications servers (including email, HTTP, FTP, SSH, DNS, etc.), UPS and battery backup (status), networked printers, Datacenter and Control room environment, and any other networked component that supports remote monitoring and management protocols (syslog, snmp). Real-time event monitoring, can be coupled with advanced customizable filtering to generate alerts and functions according to exactly the trigger events that a system or network administrator is interested in. It allows for a number of advanced network management functions: remote script execution; delayed configuration of components; integrated query language for data mining and batch configuration; scheduling of tasks; grouping; and configuration replication. Other features include a GUI and widgets builder, an auto-run facility, data importing and exporting, and an embedded web service.

Overall: Although, this is a powerful tool for network monitoring and management applications, the main limitation is the interface which because of the fact that it tries to provide access to a great deal of functionality and resources at the same time, ends up making it cluttered and hard to follow. There is always the overwhelming sense of information overload be it the simple view of the application Desktop, a view of the real-time monitoring window, or the view of the detailed report. In each case there is too much information on view (which is not necessarily displayed in an intuitive or user friendly way) that makes it hard to process for the first time user. Even though the user will get better at this over time, the problem remains that the sense of being overwhelmed will never completely go away. Hopefully future iterations of this solution will work on improving the interface.
