Trillian is a standalone chat client with support for AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo! Messenger and IRC. It has the ability to login with multiple AIM/ICQ/MSN/Y! accounts at the same time. It has a custom, skinned graphical interface using XML, transparent windows, buddy list integration/importing among all mediums and many other features. For IRC, we support multiple server connections, dcc encryption (available only from our web site) and friends lists to name a few. Version 0.62 includes the following changes: Copy/paste within the windows. Sounds on incoming/outgoing messages. AIM server-side buddy importing. SOCKS4/5/HTTP proxying for most mediums. Many user-requested feature additions. Many bugfixes.

It is amazing how many people use various instant messengers and chat clients to talk with their friends night and day or just to indicate they are online. Say, you use the most popular messenger, ICQ, but some of your friends constantly let the side down by using AOL Instant Messenger or something of the kind. You spend some time typing in Trillian's preferences your current account information for the messengers you use and then the paradise comes. All the people in your contact list will be able to communicate with you through this immensely useful program. It is free though donations are greatly welcome. There are certain limitations - the program does not use all the features of any of the messengers it provides the gateway for, only the most basic ones.
