Voix Phone Is a multiplatform IAX soft phone, its engine derives from Voix Manager, the powerful Asterisk call manager interface, from which it inherits stability and robustness.
Voix Phone has been thought with simplicity in mind, all feature needed by the user, fast and easy usable, with the minimum configurations, just fill the phone login information and play.
We hope that this our contribution could be useful to who requires of a simple but advanced soft phone, Voix Phone is distributed freeware for non commercial use.

Voix Phone is a multiplatform IAX soft phone that has been designed for simplicity of use and minimum configuration.
Pros: Voix Phone is a multiplatform IAX soft phone. IAX or the Inter Asterix Exchange protocol guides the interconnection protocols between Asterix exchanges. Asterix being the free source PBX server that allows inter operation of the existing public telephone system and the VoIP phones. Voix phone is derived from Voix Manager product of the same company. Voix Manager is a Asterix based call manager interface.
The user interface is exactly like a telephone instrument. Most people being familiar with this instrument, there is not much learning involved. The other icons used are quite self explanatory too.
The Voix call manager works with the Asterix PBX server, individual calls being generated and received at these Voix soft phones. Beside a dial pad the interface provides “activity”, “dial” and “missed call” buttons on the top tool bar. Facilities exist for hold, muting a call, call transfer, redial and a phone book. Final set of controls are settings, a log and a voice message system.
Cons: It is difficult to check this out without a proper set up of a complete system that includes the exchange, the Voix manager. Apparently the necessary functions have been implemented.
Overall: Well designed interface, appropriate functionality and built on known goon platforms such as Asterix etc makes it potential to be great. Overall I expect it to be at least a 3 star level product.
