Active Image Processing Component

This is an ActivX component that can provide image processing capability to your applications.

Active Image Processing Component is a standard ActiveX component. It is easily integrated with programs written in languages that support the ActiveX technology. These are Visual C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, C++ Builder, .Net languages, Java, Scripts like Perl, PHP, Python etc. Image formats supported by the component includes WMF, EMF, JPG, PNG, TIFF, BMP and GIF. If the image format is JPG then the component will support the selection of quality levels. Other features that can be built into your application through this component includes loading and saving multi-page TIFF files and various TIFF encoding options like rle, packbit, ccitt 3 fax, ccitt 4 fax and lzw. When handling GIF files, you would like to be able to handle creating and saving transparent GIF files.

The capabilities provided by the component includes inter conversion between image formats, provides a canvas object to let the end user draw text, line or shape onto an image, choose fonts for text items and their color, add text or image based watermarking etc. Save, load of multiple images, control of brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, sharpness, smoothness etc. are also made available by the component. Resizing of images is also available. The developers provide a set of demos in several languages to make you understand the exact integration techniques.
