This is a component that provides PDF image viewing, securing and adding annotation to PDF documents type of features. Lot of image related and barcode related functions are included too.

This component is for Windows Developers who need to develop PDF image viewer, extracting text, securing and annotating features to PDF documents. The encryption/decryption features support both 40 bit and 128 bit algorithms. Creating archival PDF or the PDF/A format is another feature available to you. When creating PDF/A files other related value add features include converting multi page TIFF images to multi page text, adding fonts, images, draw text, rotated text, lines, rectangles etc. drawing capability like arc, bezier, ellipse, circle, line, pie, rectangle, filled ellipse, filled pie, filled rectangle, texture line with alpha channel support. Image compression in JPEG and quality adjustments are available. Barcode recognition provides the capability to read a range of codes including Codabar, Code 11 Code 3 of 9, Industrial 2 from 5, Interleave 2 from 5, Matrix 2 from 5, Code 128, EAN 8, EAN 13, UPC-A, UPC-E Barcode etc. Images conversion will support conversion to 1 bit, 4 bit, 8 bit, 8 bit grayscale, 16 bit, 24 bit, 32 bit. Zoom in, zoom out, panning, auto zoom and auto scrolling when drawing selection rectangle that you can use to pick parts of image to be converted to text through OCR. Lightness, Brightness, Contrast, Diffuse, Emboss, FocalBW, Gamma, InvertColor, Monochrome, Noise, SharpenEdge adjustment, AntiNoise and more effects help in improving images by themselves and can be useful before the OCR operation. Image formats that can be handled include PDF,BMP, GIF, ICO, JPEG, JPEG 2000, J2K, PCX, PNG, PSD, TIF, WMF, WBMP, TGA, PGX, RAS, PNM image files.
