This is a library of functions that help implement FTP protocols.
The FTP Client Engine for Xbase++ (FCE4XB) is a library of functions that provides direct and simple control of the FTP protocol. FCE4XB is implemented as a WIN32 Dynamic Link Library (DLL). These functions can be used with any application capable of calling the Windows API. This toolset supports 32 bit and 64 bit versions of the Windows. Capabilities include connecting to any (anonymous or private) FTP server. You would be able to acquire a list of files on the server. It provides you functions for easy navigation of the directories on the server. The modes of data transfer (binary or ASCII) can be specified. Wildcard specifications are possible when specifying upload or download of files from the FTP server. Xbase ++ environment is required for integrate these components into your application.
Deleting files, renaming them or creating/deleting directories on the server are possible to be implemented using this library. Setting up of multiple sessions concurrently, support of proxy servers and passive modes (working with firewalls) is possible. Changing of filenames during transfers is possible. Interrupted file transfers could be resumed. File appending could be easily supported. Progress bar displays can be implemented. Transfers can be run in the background. Sample programs are provided to make application development easier. The trial version is fully functional but is for a limited time. License fee is required to keep it going. Updates will be provided for a year. This is a very good tool.
