This is a Java library that lets applications to be developed for annotating more than 50 types of documents.

Document & Image Annotation capability to your Java Applications can be implemented very easily. GroupDocs.Annotation for Java is a very lightweight library. It lets you enhance your Java app with document viewing and annotation functionality. It will be possible to annotate PDF, Office & Image Files. File formats handled also include Visio, CAD, raster images and a lot more. The applications developed will be able to support more than 50 different documents and image formats. You will be able to share these documents and get them printed as well from within the java applications that are developed. PDF or Word documents annotated in GroupDocs can be exported to PDF or DOC/DOCX files respectively complete with annotations for offline review and editing. PDF annotations, in turn, can be imported to GroupDocs for online review, markup and commenting.

This framework for Java is packaged as a single JAR and can be easily included into your application hosted on any Java servlet container. There are no downloads or installations required on the client-side. The tool comes with a customizable UI, making it easy to use. The developer types that is going to use it should not find it difficult at all to use. It will be very easy to navigate/annotate multipage documents in a browser. Integrating the UI can be done with just a few lines of JavaScript code. It can be adapted to your app`s look simply by tweaking a CSS. This is a good tool.
