The fpHelp Builder helps you to generate the online help for the software applications or web sites. The functions are not complicated and the work can be done with ease. The software works with the Microsoft Front Page as an add-in.

It is true that you can create a help file using Microsoft HTML Help Workshop, but you need to be an expert in authoring and HTML to actually create one. fpHelp Builder has a very intuitive interface. You start by designing your HTML pages in your familiar Front Page software. After you are through with designing your pages, invoke fpHelp Builder. In the Title box, enter a title for your help file. In the Default box, select the default html page that will open once you open the help file. In the Output file box, specify the location and name of your help file. The file extension of help file is compiled HTML help (chm). There are four check boxes under Options. These check boxes allow you to customize compilation. Select the Generate index by keywords check box if you want to generate an automatic index based on keywords. Select the Favorites tab check box if you want the Favorites tab to appear in your chm. selecting the Open chm after compilation check box opens up the chm after compilation. Select the Do not close compilation log on success check box if you want to view the compilation log.
