Editor's review:

This is a protocol analyzer tool. RS 232/485, 422 protocols could be easily analyzed.

Designing/debugging a communication project can be very stressful and time-consuming. Quite often, these protocols need to be looked at closely to make sure things are working. Many software/site engineers get stuck on the protocol before they can actually control a serial device. This kind of serial protocols like RS232, RS485, RS422, TTL, Modbus, PLC, or SCADA etc. can be monitored and analyzed. The context of the protocol and the data format (ASCII, Hexadecimal, Binary, etc.) need to be studied. Checksum calculation and verification is needed. Timing issues are important for resolving protocols related acknowledgment/response that are of milliseconds. This tool allows you to play with the protocol with all available data formats (ASCII, Hexadecimal, Decimal, Octal, and Binary). You can verify problems by monitoring the communications between two serial devices.

This tool has two communication modes including debugging/simulating and monitoring. In Debugging/Simulating mode it works as a terminal. Command codes, from which you can send/receive commands/signals to/from external serial devices, can be set up. Monitoring mode (both Half-Duplex and Full-Duplex are supported) allows you to monitor on communications between any other two serial devices. Data communications are recorded and can be saved as .txt, .rtf or .doc files. Timestamps in milliseconds are provided in this mode. Data inputs (Hexadecimal, Decimal, Octal, Binary, and ASCII), changes in the RS-232`s line states RTS, DTR, CTS, DSR, DCD, and RI can all be captured for analysis. Programmable buttons, programmable auto-response, programmable macros, are some of the other notable features. The interface makes it simple to work with. There are options available in the steps of macro. Send commands and run subroutines. This is a very good tool.
