Used to receive MIDI messages from external MIDI devices. Messages can be retrieved using Events or polling. All messages are immediately time-stamped with millisecond accuracy as the control receives the event. The time stamp is automatic and takes place in the control, not in Visual Basic. This results in a highly accurate time stamp. MIDIIN has an internal queuing mechanism so, if messages arrive faster than your application can handle them, they will not be lost. MIDIIN automatically detects the available MIDI IN ports and allows you to select the port you wish to use. The built in message queue allows Long and Short MIDI messages to be received. The control has a buffer for receiving system exclusive messages.
