I could never imagine myself as a manager of an international soccer team. And, of course, I didn’t have the possibility to play this role at the World Soccer Championship 2002. Now I have it, but I’m not so great and I can’t play soccer at all. No, I’m not going to be a manager of Iraq team. The way to make my dream come true was in the program I’m talking about.
World Championship 2002 is a simple window-interfaced game for users, who love soccer. All you have to do is just to choose your team, train it, switch players, control the strategy and, finally, play matches. The idea isn’t so brilliant as original. During the game you can see what’s happening on the field, reading messages of the program, for example “Hejduk shoots… He scores!” When the match is played, you can switch players or change the startup strategy, and nothing else. So this game let you feel like a real manager, with all the advantages and disadvantages of his job. You shouldn’t be afraid of firing, because nobody can do it, but your aim is to bring the gold medal to your country. Ain’t it patriotic?
