In childhood most of us dream of the sky, the stars, the Moon and space. The night sky is a fascinating thing: the stars are shining, the sky itself is navy blue with rare grayish clouds here and there. Too bad few of us get to look at the starlit sky very often, and when doing so, can't tell apart the most common constellations. Now you can look at the sky and the stars any time you want and learn anything you wanted about planets and all with WinStars.
WinStars is a program that lets you view the position of stars and planets from any point on Earth on any day at any given time, be it past, present or future. The program exists in two versions: English and French, but for some odd reason all location names are given in French in both language versions. You can learn names of constellations and the way they look from different places and cities or switch them off and just enjoy the great view of the night sky above the mountains or plains. It lets you view 10,000 most commons stars by default, but you can download additional files and see as many as 2,500,500 stars.
If you're curious about stars and planets, you'll have hours of incomparable joy playing around with this program. It is free and doesn't require the installation procedure: just unzip the files anywhere on your system and run the program. Download it today and check it out yourself.
