Whether you are the novice PC user or what is known as the “power user” HotKey CD-Eject can help end some frustration and save you time when you use your PC. This powerful utility from VCW Software allows you to open your computer’s CD tray with a simple click of your mouse.

No more searching or fumbling for the tiny CD or DVD open/close switch on the front of your tower or mini-tower PC. HotKey CD-Eject can be extremely helpful for “power users” who have multiple CD trays and mini-tower PCs to deal with in any day of computing.

The software icon sits in your Windows system tray near your clock where it lets you right click on its icon to open each respective CD tray so you save time and energy. HotKey CD-Eject also allows you to assign hotkey commands, thus the name, to open your CD tray if you prefer using your keyboard instead. After all, isn’t striking F11 easier than right clicking or remembering is it’s right or left click?

VCW Software has a real winner on its hands with HotKey CD-Eject and its price of $9.99 cannot be beat.

There are programs you first think of as unnecessary, but once you use them for more than a quarter of an hour you get quite the opposite impression and can't imagine your without them. In this case it is opening and closing your CD-ROM drive with HotKey CD-Eject.
HotKey CD-Eject is a small utility that lets you eject CDs with a hotkey combination or a double-click on the program icon. You can choose the hotkey yourself - it can be a single key or a combination of up to four keystrokes. The program icon is always available in the system tray - if you don't want to start the program manually, you can opt for it loading itself on startup. The tool doesn't eat up much memory and its icon needs just a tiny spot on your desktop. The icon, actually, changes its color showing you if there's something in the CD-ROM drive to eject.
The tool works with multiple CD-ROM drives (you get the option of choosing the main drive that will be ejected when you double-click the icon). It is simple yet functional and reliable. Try it today and get to know the freedom of ejecting CDs with a keystroke!
