Free disk space is not an issue for most users, though even the happy owners of 80GB-sized hard drives are bound to puzzle over the ultimate question "Where did all the free space go?" The standard Windows Explorer is not much help as it shows the size of files only, leaving blank the size field for folders. There are two ways to learn how much space your folders occupy: the first one is to manually access folder properties and take a note of its size (tedious, isn't it?), while the second one is to install SizeExplorer.
SizeExplorer is a compact tool that has an interface very much similar to Windows Explorer yet differs from it by its main feature: letting people view their folders' sizes without any effort. The tool scans all the available folders first and then you can explore them to see how much space they take up on your hard drive. The registered version lets you delete files and folders, while the trial version allows you only to explore the disk. The tool has a quick access button for opening the same folder in Windows Explorer which comes very handy, too.
And that's not all. SizeExplorer has an analyzer tool that creates gorgeous-looking charts for you to find out, for example, how much space is occupied by MP3 files. You can export both the charts and the input data in a variety of file formats. Try this tool today and check it out yourself.
