Internet Explorer is an application far from perfect. Yet most users choose to use IE because it's free, it comes pre-installed with the system and it looks similar to other Windows applications. IE hasn't been developed to accommodate modern Internet hazards: popup windows, annoying Flash intros and ads, undesirable Java applets. Secure IE has developed an advanced security zones feature that lets you safely and securely browse the net, blocking flash and popup windows and more.
Secure IE is an Internet Explorer shell with quite a few advanced features. Firstly, the interface of the shell is much more usable comparing to the original IE. Secondly, you can sort out websites into five security zones and for each specify things that are allowed and things that are not. For example, you could have different settings for Local Intranet, My Computer and Trusted Sites zones independently, and not just set a single zone and stick to it for all websites.
The shell also has other minor features, like text highlighting and sticky notes right in the browser window (the latter works with IE 5.5 and higher only), a secure download manager that virus-scans files and more. Try this program today and check it out yourself.
