Some software is being built for serious purposes, such as project management, access control restriction or web authoring. Other programs seem to be developed exclusively for fun - both for developers and end-users. BackChat is a good example of this.
     BackChat is a simple utility that helps you learn how to speak in reverse. In order to use this program you should have a sound card and a microphone on your PC. The program lets you record the original phrase, say "I shall never pee in daddy's slippers", playback it as it is and in the reverse. Once you memorize the reverse phrase, you can record it again and the program will reverse it once again. If your pronunciation is OK, the double-reversed phrase should very closely resemble the original one.
     The program is fun both for children and adults. It doesn't require to be installed - just download the file and extract it.
