Most of us try out new software, be it new versions of the good old programs we've been using for years before or completely new stuff that has just appeared on the web. A large proportion of this software under trial, both shareware and freeware, goes to the trash bin in a few days. Still, most uninstall utilities are not that advanced yet to remove corresponding registry entries from your system registry. This is one of the reasons why you need RegCool.
RegCool is a registry editor with an Explorer-like interface and plenty of features to choose from. The interface boasts 'Back' and 'Forward' buttons and even has its own Favorites folder, so you won't have to look for those obscure keys again but jump to it directly. The most prominent feature of the program, though, is that it can, apart from exporting and importing registries, compare two versions of the registry. That is extremely useful if you want to find out what's been changed since the last installation.
All in all, this tool is for advanced users and although it is configured to ask for confirmation every time you delete something, you had better know what you are doing and save a backup copy of the registry every time you edit it.
