Internet Explorer is the most popular browser on Earth, but not quite the most powerful and easy to use. That's why various secondary browsers that use its engine but provide many more features are so popular. However, some people prefer to stick to good old Internet Explorer, enhancing its powers with various add-ons such as Internet Explorer Text Archiver.
Internet Explorer Text Archiver is a tiny add-on that lets you save scraps of text selected on a web page to plain text files on your hard drive. It is, actually, a Visual Basic script that adds an item to the right-click menu "Archive selected text". Once you select the whole page or some part of it, you can choose this item from the context menu and pick the name for the text file which will contain the saved information. The name can be the URL of the document, its title, date and time or custom name.
All the necessary configurations must be done at the moment of installing the add-on, including the target directory location and name. There's no way you can change it after the script has been installed. Download this small but useful add-on and check it out yourself.
