AutoExtract 2 is a ZIP/RAR file extractor utility – the company claims this is the easiest tool for the job. Is it really? We’ll find!
AutoExtract resides in the system memory (taskbar for you) waiting for any ZIP/RAR file, and the moment it catches a file, it promptly unzips it into a folder of the same name for easy reference.
The ability to monitor folders is highly beneficial – you may just drop a compressed file into the folder and no need of waiting to decompress it the next time you open it – it is readily extracted for you. There is also an option to recycle (read delete!) the original Zip/RAR file upon successful decompression into the folder.
How do you differentiate folders? Change the icon of the destination folder – that’s how! AutoExtract goes a step ahead and also provides notifications on the status of decompression, as also showing the decompression progress in a popup.
