3D Space Gladiators is a Direct3D enabled screensaver that touts itself as being for macho guys. As easy to set up as your regular ‘Flying Windows’ screensaver, it boasts sound effects, high resolution graphics, T&L effects and a mini game to boot.

The screensaver comes from DeaddyBear.com, noted for their eye catching screen savers and mini-games that utilize D3D to please the eyes. 3D Space Gladiators is their latest screensaver, allowing you to marvel at a battle raging around the cosmos as small space combat fighters shoot each other in all-out combat.

The options are very easy to set up and forget about. You choose your rendering engine, Direct3D, T&L Enhanced D3D, or software and your display resolution, pick your sport (free-for-all or team deathmatch), choose your ship count, and configure visual and sound options to your liking. Then you and your co-workers can watch the ships zing around space as they zap each other and place bets on who will be number one.

The screensaver also includes a small mini-game allowing you to climb into the cockpit of a space gladiator. It is just a simple game, really. You run it and are immediately placed in the hot zone ready to battle.
