BOshield is software designed to detect and remove the 'Back Orifice' application. It uses little memory and consumes insignificant processing time. It can detect running copies of Back Orifice and disable them. It then renames or deletes the file, depending on the user settings. Note: Back Orifice (BO) is a remote administration tool developed by the Cult Of The Dead Cow. Back Orifice is not a virus. It is a self-contained, self-installing server that allows a remote administrator to control and monitor computers running the Windows operating system over a network.
