This is an easy to use application that allows you to control your computer resume from power-off state (hibernation) or wake up your computer from sleep mode (stand by).

Pros: This application provides an easy control to power down or power up the machine from a hibernation mode. It is possible to have a scheduled wakeup at a given time and on a given date. Even if the computer is in the sleep state (s3 standby) at specified schedule. A complementary feature is that the machine can be shut down at a given date/time combination.

Auto Poweron & Shutdown allows you to open files, play sounds, run programs, close programs, open website, show messages, standby/ hibernate, shutdown/ reboot, etc. at any specified time. Play mp3, WMA , WAV and flash at any specified time.

One can record as scripts what’s being typed and playback the same. Do the same with mouse movements. These macros could be deployed to automate a range of repetitive tasks. The user interface is very simple. Opens with a list of scheduled tasks, that lets you manage the tasks easily. You have edit features to change/modify/prune the list. Then there’s a set of options that help scheduling easier. Options include initiating at startup, run as a minimized task, locked sessions, protect with password or run as a windows service. Interface language also can be changes as an option. There are several options available for this. There are several extras that add to the pleasure of using this package. The extras include sync with atomic clock servers, power management that has a set of sophisticated power management options. Other extras are the options of importing/ exporting tasks.

Cons: No shortcomings noticed.

Overall: This is a nice package bundled with a lot of useful functionality. A 5 star performance without a doubt.
