"It`s missing from Windows!" HSLAB Shutdown Folder is a program which provides ability similar to the Windows "Startup" folder. It launches programs, command files (*.Cmd,*.Vbs, *.Bat) and symbolic links placed into a "Shutdown Folder"
Features: Windows has a "startup" folder that launches exe, cmd, Bat etc. But if you were to do things systematically at shutdown time there are no equivalent facilities. HSLAB Shtdown folder helps take care of that situation. It launches execute, command files (*.Bat,*.Cmd) and symbolic links placed into a "Shutdown Folder" folder just before Windows shuts down. It also does help Windows shut down quickly. More importantly, lets Windows users and administrators and network administrators to arrange systematic log off, back ups and deletion of unnecessary temporary folders, sync with mobile systems and so on.
That ensures , in a corporate environment an uniformity of shutdown across systems in the organization. The folder is highly configurable. This application can automatically detect the type of shutdown or any changes in the type too. It can then execute an accelerated manual/auto shutdown or restart Should you need it you could arrange to launch of applications, command files(*.Bat,*.Cmd) and symbolic links. It can help clear temporary directories, clears the recycle bin, clearing of the recent documents menu items. Pause/ purge of print jobs on shut down is possible too. Internet history clean up by way of cache clean up, history clean up and cookies clean up is possible. Settings can be protected with a password.
Overall: Nice little utility which could be useful if used in a planned manner.
